                                                           Trio verses Quartet
A string quartet covers the parts more fully than a trio and has a warmer sound.  There is not much difference in volume.  Listen to the samples below and select the one you like best.  A string trio makes a beautiful sound and is a popular selection as well and is slightly lower in cost.  (more information click here)

Are tips expected?
Tips are never required.  It is very much like eating in a restaurant, most people do tip.  Even a small tip tells your musicians you appreciated their work and are happy with their service.

How do the musicians dress?
Formal dress is black and white.  Men often wear a tux.  Ladies dress in a combination of black and white dress or suite.

How much time do we need for a wedding?
prelude music as guests arrive. (15-30 min.)

   wedding ceremony   (30-40 min.)
   recessional, cocktail (1/2 -1 hour)

dinner or reception (1-3 hours)

I'm not very familiar with classical music.  How do I choose my selections.
We have audio samples of the most commonly requested wedding music online.  Click the weddings tab above, and select the ones you like best.

Should we work directly with the quartet or use a wedding planner?
If you have an agent, do both.  Very often agents do not communicate well with us.  They either shower us so many details something important gets missed or tell us what they deem appropriate rather than what we need to know.  I have even seen an agent cancel ensembles because they didn't receive an expected reply.  Staying in touch with your musicians eliminates those problems.

What do you need??
An armless chair for each player, AC power for our lights and equipment.

Will you play outdoors?
In Arizona with our beautiful weather, most of our performances are outdoors.  performance limitations

Do you play the reception?
Yes.  Often the cocktail hour or whole dinner/reception as well as the ceremony.

What if the ensemble needs to move? Does it cost more?
No it does not cost more.  Often a ceremony and dinner are in different locations.  Even if your event is in one location, it is often easier to hear if we relocate.  We are at your service for the entire time you have reserved.

How soon do we need to book the musicians?
YESTERDAY would be a good answer.  Believe it or not everyone wants the same dates, even in the slow season.  Reserve us as soon as possible.  We try to meet last minute bookings, but they are more difficult.

Do we need a PA system?
We have a portable system available.   (sound system)

What for of payment do you take?
Personal check is fine for the deposit.  To reserve the ensemble you need to include a $100.00 deposit with your paper work.
